Some Highlights! February, March and April!

Here are some highlights from the winter months!!

1# Skiing:  We bought a 4-pack this year to Copper Mountain and really enjoyed our ski trips! Brian's mom and dad have a condo near Copper, so we were able to stay there with them on a few of our skiing weekends.  Our cousin Bryce is in a few of the ski photos, the kids have so much fun on the mountain!

#2 Visiting with Uncle Wil, Aunt Holly, Kiki & Kepler:  Wil came to Denver to visit us and his best friend from Alaska that now lives in CO Springs.  He took us out for a sushi lunch and it was AWESOME!  A couple of weeks after Wil came to Denver, we drove to Dallas for Spring Break to see Wil, Holly and the kids!  We stayed with Holly's family and had a great time!  We visited the Science Museum, Botanical Garden, horseback riding, pen making, and had Easter Egg hunt at Holly's sister Lily's house.  One of the funniest nights was when the kids wanted to take pictures with Himachi, Lily's GIANT dog!  The dog literally weighs the same as Aunt Holly!

#3: Doctor Visits:  Definitely not as fun as Texas or skiing!  Aliana had surgery to put in eartubes - the surgery went great (praise Jesus!) and she was a trooper!  She had been failing hearing tests at school due to fluid in her ears that has not been draining properly.  The day after surgery she was already commenting on what sounded different and louder!  Carson had a full test for allergies this winter as well - we didn't find as much out as we had hoped.  Although he is not allergic to our little pets (mice/hamsters) so that is good!  He had some medication changes to his asthma inhalers that have NOT been successful so we are still working with the doctor! ("working with the doctor" translates to = paying $$ lol)

#4:  Time for Fun:  We've had time for lots of playdates (here is Aliana with our bestest friends Isla and Tatum), time to dye Easter eggs and celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, and time to attend Carson's art show at school!  It's hard to believe we only have about 6 weeks left of school!! #cantwaitforsummer

A January update!

The Thomas's have been keeping busy!  Here's what we've been up to since school started back up after Christmas break....  A photo review in reverse order!

Centaurus Christian Warrior Pizza/Game night at our house on MLK Day!

Over the long weekend, I went to LA to visit my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew!!  My nephew turned 3 and I got to go to his party!!!
Early morning sillies before I had to leave!

In line for the piƱata, Mike Wazowski was full of candy!

Birthday Boy!!!

And this is how Auntie Katie rolls when it comes to craft projects!!
Kiki and I had fun "making" a pillow!!

Here's what our crew has been up to.....

Basketball season for Carson, he plays with a few friends from his soccer team and the boys have a great time together!  Here they are acting crazy as usual.

Here's Aliana with her friend Jenna at the roller rink! Aliana has only skated two times and loves going!  She also got a hamster after Christmas.... we may be getting another one this week because Carson's mouse just died and now he wants a hamster too! As long as we keep them in separate cages -- no hamster babies in this house!!!!

Brian and I got to go out for a fun date night and tried a new local BBQ place, my Grandpa/Uncle and cousin all live in TX, we told them it was good, but doesn't compare to authentic TX BBQ!!

And last but not least!!!  We finally got together with our wonderful friend Ellie, we hadn't seen her for most of the fall!! (and her brother Luke, and our friends Emilia and Matt, which I failed to take pictures of!)  We taught with Ellie and Luke's parents in AK and now they live in Denver.  Luke and Emilia were our students!!!  It was a little Alaska get-together and a very special night!

Hawaii! Merry Christmas!

We arrived back to Colorado yesterday after a week in Maui visiting Nana & Grandpa John - here are some trip highlights!

At the condo the kids enjoyed...looking for lizards, reading books, playing at the beach, relaxing, riding in the kayak.

At the beaches we enjoyed ... snorkeling with two turtles, watching the turtles come out of the water to rest, and finding our own coconuts (and breaking them open with grandpa's hammer later)!

In Lahaina we loved ... the Luau and visiting a famous Banyan tree.

In the mountains ... Brian, Carson and I went on an awesome hike!

Thanks Nana & Grandpa John!!!

Merry Christmas!  God's peace and blessings in 2016!
